Rubber Lining
A lot like Fiberglass, rubber and other polymers have always been used to line pipes, tanks and equipment to protect against corrosion and abrasion. Chemical processing, mining, water treatment and other processes require the right materials to protect against harsh acidic environments, alkalis, salts and abrasives – often at elevated temperatures.
Installation and curing of this type of coating is critical for optimal performance. With over 20 years of combined service in the rubber lining industry and practical work experience across Jubail refineries, Hawiya gas plants and in house vessel refurbishments, Crystal Corp will perform all work according to detailed work instructions and manufacturer’s specifications.
types of rubber we provide depending on use
Soft Natural Rubber:
Excellent abrasion resistance and withstands exposure to most inorganic chemicals
Hard Natural Rubber:
Greater chemical resistance than soft rubber with decreased permeation
Chlorobutyl Rubber :
Great chemical resistance to various alkalis and acids. Higher temperature resistance than natural rubber.
Bromobutyl Rubber :
Similar Characgeristics but with improved temperature resistance as compared to chlorobutyl.
Neoprene Rubber:
Superior resistance to heat, ozone, weathering and many hydrocarbons
Nitrile Rubber:
Excellent resistance to hydrocarbons and elevated temperatures
HDPE :
Superior abrasion resistance and good protection from many corrosives
Fluropolymer Rubber :
Excellent corrosion resistance along with ability to withstand high process temperatures, in most cases up to 260 Degrees Celsius
